Pushpa Aman Singh, CEO
Pushpa spent 10 years in the corporate sector in financial services before moving to the voluntary sector 9 years ago. Pushpa believes that for philanthropy to grow exponentially in India, civil society information should be easily available. In the 7.5 years she was with GiveIndia, she developed its NGO due diligence process, screened over 2000 NGOs & 300 projects. She demystified online philanthropy to Indian NGOs by working out simple yet effective ways of making disclosures and reporting back to donors. Pushpa led GiveIndia’s philanthropy services for high net worth individuals, corporations and government departments and was the COO at the time of leaving.

Pushpa passionately believes that providing NGO information in an easily searchable & usable form would significantly lower the cost of search & selection of NGOs, thereby significantly increase giving. In her view, GuideStar India will allow donors and policy makers to direct resources to the most underserved through the most effective & efficient NGOs. She joined GuideStar India in 2009.

Pushpa has conducted numerous NGO workshops, represented India at the Online Social Change marketplaces meetings & GuideStar’s annual Assembly.

Pushpa is a member of the Norms Review Committee of the Credibility Alliance and an assessor for the India NGO Awards of Resource Alliance.

Pushpa is an MBA Gold Medalist and a Senior Global Fellow of the Synergos Institute, NY.
